EU electricity supply secure for winter, European system operators group says

( November 19, 2025, 15:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU is well prepared to meet electricity demand across the winter, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity said on Wednesday in its Winter Outlook study. Increasing renewable generation, along with higher hydro reservoir levels and nuclear availability, will help guarantee electricity security of supply, ENTSO-E said. Some less interconnected regions, such as Cyprus, Ireland and Malta, could face limited supply risks that can be mitigated through dedicated non-market resources, it added.Full Winter Outlook study attached....
