Europe wind-growth forecasts worsen over slow permitting, auction design, WindEurope says

Only 6.8 gigawatts of new wind capacity were built in Europe in the first half of the year — far from the pace needed to reach the EU’s 2030 wind targets, WindEurope said. However, wind turbine orders and final investment decisions in new wind farms increased, signaling continued investor interest in the sector.Wind isn't growing at the anticipated scale in Europe, according to a new study published today by European wind lobby group WindEurope....
