EU energy regulator says it reviewed 416 market abuse cases in second quarter

( August 8, 2025, 11:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A total of 416 potential breaches of the EU Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency, known as REMIT, were reviewed by EU energy regulator ACER during the second quarter of this year, the agency said in a quarterly update published today. The report provides an overview of activity in the EU wholesale electricity market, including new cases of market abuse such as insider trading and market manipulation. ACER also introduced two new “transparency tools” aimed at improving public access to non-sensitive market data.Full document attached....
