EU’s solar market contracts for first time since 2015, solar lobby group says

Although the EU remains on track to meet its 2025 solar market goal of 400 gigawatts, it risks failing to reach its 2030 targets, the group warned. The downturn is mainly due to reduced incentive schemes and a waning sense of urgency following the end of the energy crisis, the group said.Europe’s solar market is projected to contract by 1.4 percent in 2025, raising concerns over the EU’s ability to meet its climate and energy goals for 2030, SolarPower Europe said in its new mid-year market report today....
