China seeks stronger climate cooperation with EU, Xinhua reports

( July 15, 2025, 08:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China is ready to strengthen cooperation with the EU on climate action, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang said during the 6th EU-China High-Level Dialogue on Environment and Climate, China's official state news agency reported. At the meeting on Monday, Ding emphasized China's intention to expand collaboration in the energy and circular economy sectors and work with the EU to support decarbonization in developing countries, Xinhua said. The EU, represented by European Commission Executive Vice-President Teresa Ribera, responded positively and said the upcoming EU-China Summit on July 24 would be an opportunity to deepen bilateral climate cooperation.
