EU and Latin American Energy Organization agree to reinforce energy cooperation

( May 27, 2025, 15:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- The EU and the Latin American Energy Organization OLADE today signed a memorandum of understanding to reinforce their energy cooperation. The new partnership will work on enhancing sustainable energy security, tackling energy poverty, promoting decarbonization, and developing renewables and low carbon energies, among other activities. The two blocs will also join forces to reduce methane emissions and mitigate sectors such as agriculture, fossil fuels, and transport in Latin America.
