Nord Stream loses EU gas rules dispute at EU court

( November 27, 2024, 09:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nord Stream 2 lost its legal challenge at the bloc's General Court today over the EU's revised gas directive. The dispute refers to the extension of the application of some provisions on natural gas pipelines between EU countries to pipelines that connect to non-EU countries. In today's ruling, EU judges argued that the bloc's laws didn't infringe the principle of legal certainty or of the protection of legitimate expectations.
