Proposal to buy Australia's Moorabbin Airport under antitrust review

( April 21, 2026, 06:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A proposal by a group of investors to acquire Moorabbin Airport Corporation through a holding company is being reviewed by Australia’s antitrust regulator. In a statement on Tuesday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said the corporation holds the long-term airport lease for Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne. The group of investors includes Australian profit-to-member superannuation fund REST, Australian superannuation and retirement fund Aware Super, US-based mutual life insurance company MassMutual and Goodman, part of the Goodman Group, an industrial property and digital infrastructure business.
