Nexstar, Tegna receive approval from US FCC with conditions

( March 19, 2026, 23:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nexstar Media Group’s $6.2 billion acquisition of Tegna received approval from the US Federal Communications Commission with conditions, the agency announced. Nexstar agreed to divest six stations in six different markets within two years, as well as increases in local news coverage in acquired markets and extensions for multichannel video programming distributors at their currently agreed rates for a certain period of time. See full release below and document attached....
