BioMarin, Amicus to file HSR by Jan. 21, will make referral request to EU

( January 21, 2026, 22:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Amicus and BioMarin agreed to make their Hart-Scott-Rodino premerger filings by today, the companies said in a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The merger also requires clearance from the Japanese competition authority and certain European Union members. BioMarin intends to make a referral request to the European Commission for review of the transaction.
