Acquisitions portal to notify mergers now live, Australian regulator says

In a statement on Tuesday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that it has launched the acquisitions portal, which replaces the email pathway for lodging notifications. The parties can access the portal, after creating an account, to request early engagement with the regulator about a notification or waiver, to notify a merger and from Jan. 1, 2026, to pay waiver application fees by credit card. Before the portal was launched, the regulator had advised parties submitting notifications or requesting pre-notification engagement via email to comply with file-size limits of 25 megabytes.The full statement follows:...
