Mitsubishi Fuso, Toyota's Hino Motors get merger clearance from Singapore

( October 7, 2025, 07:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japanese truck-manufacturers Hino Motors, a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation, and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, have received merger clearance from the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore, or CCS. Both firms supply light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks in Singapore through separate distributors, Borneo Motors and Goldbell Engineering. The CCS found that the deal would not lessen competition due to strong rivals, low barriers to entry and high buyer power in the local truck market.
