Premium Food Group's takeover of The Family Butchers approved in Germany

( September 18, 2025, 10:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meat processor Tönnies International Management, part of the Premium Food Group, has been granted approval to take control and a majority stake in IFF Ventures, the owner of The Family Butchers, the German competition authority said on Thursday. The Federal Cartel Office said the deal didn’t meet the criteria for being blocked, pointing to combined market shares for most sausage varieties of below 40 percent and the presence of numerous competitors in the market providing sufficient alternatives for consumers.
