CVC's Tipico granted conditional approval to buy Atlas group in Austria

( August 29, 2025, 12:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Sports betting company Tipico, a portfolio company of private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, has secured conditional approval to buy the Atlas Group, the parent company of Admiral in Austria, the national competition authority said today. To gain clearance, the parties agreed to sell 20 of Tipico's betting shops to one or more suitable buyers to ensure those outlets operate as active competitors in sports betting, along with other obligations, it said. The watchdog's review of the deal had found that it would result in a high level of concentration in the market for betting services in betting shops.Statement follows (in German). ...
