Adbri's bid for SA Premix faces review delay, Australian watchdog says

( August 27, 2025, 02:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The review of Australian cement company Adbri’s proposed acquisition, through its subsidiaries Adbri Concrete and Quarries SA, of a 100 percent stake in Premix Concrete S.A., Seelander Quarries, Clinton Quarries and Adelaide Industrial Sands, known collectively as SA Premix, has been put on hold. In an entry on its website, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it had stopped the clock on the review while awaiting further information from the merger parties. The pause means that the provisional Aug. 28 date for an announcement of the regulator’s findings has been scrapped, with a new deadline to be announced “in due course.” The review is expected to focus on how closely Adbri and SA Premix compete in the supply of RMX and aggregates in the state of South Australia. The full entry on the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission's website follows: ...
