AT&T agrees to buy EchoStar spectrum licenses for about $23 billion

( August 26, 2025, 11:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: AT&T has agreed to buy EchoStar's 3.45 GHz and 600 MHz spectrum licenses — a total of 50 MHz of nationwide spectrum — for approximately $23 billion, the companies said. The US Department of Justice said earlier this year that it was concerned that spectrum was becoming too consolidated, most of it owned by the Big Three: Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T.
