United Airlines responds to several 'inaccurate' claims made by Delta to US DOT

( August 20, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: United Airlines filed a comment with the US Department of Transportation to clarify certain claims made by Delta Airlines in support of its alliance agreement with Aeromexico. “Delta accuses the [DOT] of an unacknowledged policy shift, demanding explicit recognition and justification for any departure. Delta argues that agencies must acknowledge policy changes, provide good reasons, and consider engendered reliance interests, but Delta’s market comparisons and portrayal of the [DOT’s] consistency towards other alliances are not supported by the record,” it said.
