Stonepeak's acquisition of Seaco cleared by Singapore competition authority

( August 19, 2025, 09:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Investment firm Stonepeak's Typewriter Ascend has received clearance from Singapore's competition regulator to acquire intermodal container supplier Global Sea Containers Limited, or Seaco. While the parties overlap in the supply of intermodal containers in the country, the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore said they are not each other’s closest rivals, with many alternative suppliers remaining in the market. The regulator also said the merged entity may be better placed to challenge larger suppliers.The statement is attached....
