T-Mobile, UScellular oppose application for US FCC review of deal

( August 15, 2025, 15:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: T-Mobile and UScellular have submitted a joint filing to the US Federal Communications Commission opposing an application for review from the Rural Wireless Association, Open Technology Institute at New America, Benton Institute for Broadband & Society, and the Communications Workers of America. The application calls for the agency to act on the deal at the commission level after it was approved at the bureau level. The companies claim that the application for review provides no legal basis for that request, "as transactions of similar size and scope have been regularly decided at the Bureau level based on delegated authority."See document attached....
