Senate Democrats demand probe into US DOJ settlement of HPE-Juniper deal

( August 1, 2025, 21:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Senators Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Amy Klobuchar Of Minnesota wrote Department of Justice Acting Inspector General William Blier calling for an investigation of the DOJ’s proposed settlement of its lawsuit challenging Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co.’s acquisition of Juniper Networks. The senators also wrote HPE seeking information about the company’s hiring of political consultants with close ties to the Trump administration, allegedly to obtain a favorable settlement prior to trial. While one of these lobbyists was publicly disclosed in accordance with federal law, that disclosure was incomplete, the senators said in a press release.  Statement follows in full.  ...
