US FTC, Chamber differ on timeline for premerger form litigation

( July 14, 2025, 21:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Chamber of Commerce and the US Federal Trade Commission have each filed conflicting motions on schedule-setting for the Chamber's lawsuit challenging the FTC's new premerger form. The Chamber has asked US District Judge Jeremy Kernodle to issue an order "permitting Plaintiffs to file their motion for summary judgment and reject the Commission’s competing proposal for next steps in this case," while the FTC has urged Kernodle to approve the government's proposed litigation schedule. "This schedule permits limited discovery that would allow the parties to fully and efficiently submit summary judgment motions that the Court can consider with all the necessary facts," the agency said. See attached documents. ...
