CBS affiliates group discussed potential Paramount-Skydance conditions with US FCC

( July 11, 2025, 23:59 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The CBS Television Network Affiliates Association met with members of the US Federal Communications Commission Media Bureau last week to discuss Paramount's pending merger with Skydance and spoke about potential conditions that could be imposed, according to a filing with the agency. The affiliates association said that conditions on the merger "should be designed to strengthen local stations’ capacity to continue serving their communities with local news and information programming, and address issues related to CBS control over affiliate finances and 'virtual MVPD' negotiations, exclusivity of programming, and affiliation renewal practices."See attached document....
