Additional remedial measures for Schlumberger, ChampionX deal approved in Norway

( July 14, 2025, 13:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Schlumberger and ChampionX have won approval for additional agreements with third parties to ensure compliance with the Norwegian competition agency's earlier decision on their merger, the Norwegian Competition Authority said. In May, Schlumberger received conditional clearance to buy ChampionX. In addition to the initial supply obligations, ChampionX has now signed long-term supply agreements to guarantee continued access to products and services from its Quartzdyne business for oil service providers Baker Hughes and Weatherford. The target also entered into a global licensing deal with the sensor manufacturer Précis, to support the latter's entry into the quartz transducer market, the watchdog said today.Statement follows. ...
