Safran agrees to divestitures with US DOJ to complete RTX deal

( June 17, 2025, 14:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Safran has agreed to divestitures in order to resolve competition concerns brought by the US Department of Justice over its proposed acquisition of RTX Corporation's flight control business. Safran agreed to divest to Woodward its North American actuation business, including the entirety of the business activities and assets engaged in the development, manufacture, and sale of trimmable horizontal stabilizer actuators, secondary flight control actuation products and nose-wheel steering gearboxes and its Canada-based electronic control units business. The DOJ said that the deal likely would substantially lessen competition in the worldwide market for the development, manufacture, and sale of THSAs for large aircraft. Statement follows in full.
