SES wins EU approval for Intelsat deal

( June 10, 2025, 15:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Satellite operator SES has won EU approval for its $3.1 billion acquisition of rival Intelsat. The European Commission said the deal raised no antitrust concerns, given the presence of “credible competitors” on markets for providing satellite services to broadcasters and other customers. The commission also pointed to how sufficient competitive pressure would be placed on SES by terrestrial alternatives such as fiber services.Statement follows....
