CADE publishes approval of BRF-Marfrig merger under fast-track procedure

The merged company will adopt the new name MBRF Global Foods Company S.A. The operation doesn't involve a change in control, as Marfrig already holds 50.49% of BRF’s shares. CADE concluded that the deal doesn't raise competition concerns, with market shares and concentration levels remaining below regulatory thresholds for dominance or foreclosure, qualifying the transaction for summary, or fast-track, approval....
