NSC's play for Coregas is back on track, as Australian review recommences

( June 3, 2025, 00:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Australian antitrust regulator's review of a bid by multinational industrial-gas company Nippon Sanso’s Australian subsidiary, NSC (Australia), to acquire Coregas, Coregas NZ and Blacksmith Jacks, currently owned by Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers, has recommenced. In an entry on its website, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, or ACCC, said that it has received further information “from the parties and other market participants” and it had recommenced its timeline. The proposed date for an announcement has been set for June 26. The regulator has previously noted that the deal would see Nippon Sanso owning Coregas, Coregas NZ Limited and Blacksmith Jacks operations in Australia, while it remains the immediate parent company of Supagas, a producer and supplier of LPG and other industrial gases.The full entry on the ACCC website follows: ...
