Dubai Aerospace-Nordic Aviation merger gets Philippine clearance

( May 26, 2025, 05:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Dubai Aerospace Enterprise's acquisition of Nordic Aviation Capital Designated Activity has been cleared by the Philippine Competition Commission, or PCC, which found that the transaction does not raise competition concerns. In its statement today, the PCC cited the limited market presence of both parties in the domestic aircraft leasing sector and the presence of multiple alternative suppliers. The PCC's Phase 1 review, launched in March, also considered the industry's global structure and competitive dynamics. Dubai Aerospace is backed by the government of Dubai, while Nordic Aviation is owned by NAC Holdings, a consortium of institutional investors.The full statement follows:...
