Sale of Coca-Cola Indian bottling plants receives merger clearance

Kandhari Global Beverages' acquisition of the Coca-Cola bottling plants falls under the deal value threshold notice or Section 5(d) of the 2002 Competition Act. Kandhari Global Beverages, an existing partner authorized to bottle and distribute Coca-Cola and Schweppes products in the state of Rajasthan, will be able to expand its geographical footprint in the Indian beverage market following the deal.
