Meta, X, TikTok get Oct. 5 court date for fight over UK watchdog's info requests

Meta previously told MLex that it believes the scale of some requests went beyond what was necessary or proportionate, but Ofcom defended its requests, saying they were within the scope of its powers. Legal challenges by Meta Platforms, X and TikTok against UK regulator Ofcom’s efforts to obtain information from them under the Online Safety Act will be heard next Monday, MLex has learned....
