Indonesia's KPPU develops early-warning system to monitor digital markets

( October 2, 2026, 03:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia's antitrust regulator is developing an early-warning system to detect changes in market structure and business conduct, including digital-market consolidation, control of data, algorithmic pricing and acquisitions. The Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition, or KPPU, said on Thursday that the system would help it identify market developments at an early stage. The regulator is exploring research cooperation with Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency to strengthen its use of data, analytical methods and artificial intelligence. The planned cooperation would also support theh KPPU's competition enforcement and policymaking through research covering the digital economy, food-supply chains and industrial development. Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
