FTC to launch 'personalized pricing' study, chairman says

The FTC recently proposed a policy statement treating undisclosed personalized pricing as potentially unfair, and Ferguson said it has already launched enforcement actions.As states start slapping limits on the use of personal data to personalize prices to consumers, the US Federal Trade Commission is seeking to launch a new study of the practice that may focus on the ridesharing and grocery business, its chairman said....
