CCIA, SIIA say social media curatorial judgments are expressive speech

The organizations opposed a lower court order that found that social media platforms’ editorial and curatorial judgments are not protected speech because they are not “expressive” when they rely on “predictive algorithms” that incorporate users’ preferences to “suggest content” that “will be engaging, or ‘interesting’ to users.”See attached file. ...
