Japan's DPA to broaden consultations on amended privacy-law rules

The Personal Information Protection Commission said Wednesday it will consult groups representing individual rights and business interests on three topics from this month through mid-October, followed by formal hearings from late October. Participants include Consumer Rights Japan, the Japan Youth Council and MyDataJapan, alongside the Business Software Alliance and the Privacy Tech Association.
