South Korea's expanded data-portability regime allows scraping during transition

Public institutions face the requirements first, followed by private companies in February 2027. Organizations that aren't yet ready to provide mechanisms such as APIs can temporarily continue scraping data if they undergo prior consultation to agree on transfer methods and safeguards.Public institutions and companies in South Korea will be required to provide secure mechanisms for customers to transfer their personal data as the country rolls out an expanded data-portability regime, with regulators allowing existing scraping services to continue temporarily under agreed safeguards....
