A generative AI model cannot be meaningfully assessed without basic information about the data used to train it, they said in an amicus brief. "Undisclosed training data can conceal personal information, benchmark contamination, copyrighted or illegal material, representational bias, synthetic feedback loops, and domain mismatch," they said.
