( May 29, 2026, 02:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korean operations of global luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Moncler, Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior and TAG Heuer will be subject to an annual privacy policy review by the country’s privacy regulator and a public evaluation panel. The Personal Information Protection Commission said Friday that it will begin reviewing privacy policies of 52 companies and organizations across seven sectors from late June. The targeted sectors include public apps, universities, recruitment platforms, matchmaking services, luxury brands, fandom platforms and food-franchise businesses. The PIPC will assess whether privacy policies adequately disclose required information, are easy for users to understand and readily accessible.
