DC judge denies Zuckerberg's bid to dismiss DC Cambridge Analytica suit
( May 12, 2026, 14:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: DC Superior Court Judge Darlene Soltys denied Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's motion to dismiss the Washington DC attorney general's consumer protection lawsuit stemming from the Cambridge Analytica breach because "the District alleges sufficient facts to show Mr. Zuckerberg himself contributed to and caused misrepresentations about user controls, data controls, data privacy, and data sharing (such as through the third party App Digital Life, among others) that harmed District residents who used Facebook but had not authorized the harvesting of their data by Digital Life or other specific third party apps," she wrote.
