Google files reply in support of pausing California social-media addiction law

( April 10, 2026, 21:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google filed a reply in support of an injunction against California’s Protecting Our Kids from Social Media Addiction Act, arguing that the First Amendment bars California from forcing it to change its expression simply because the state deems that expression “too compelling.” “California says it wants to protect minors from content that is too interesting so they will spend less time on social media.
