Platforms must improve safety for women, girls by year-end, UK tech minister says

In a letter to online service providers on Monday, Liz Kendall said she would closely monitor the services’ progress in adopting Ofcom’s guidance on recommended measures which included conducting risk assessments focusing on harms to women and girls, and conducting so-called abusability evaluations before launching new features and services. Statement follows.
