US state AGs back California's social media law

( February 27, 2026, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: New York, along with 23 other states and the District of Columbia, filed a brief in support of California’s Protecting Our Kids from Social Media Addiction Act, saying its limits on the categories of personal data a company can use to generate an algorithmic feed do not burden those expressive choices. They argued that companies do not use the regulated categories of data to make expressive choices, and limiting the use of this data does not impact feed generation choices that are expressive.See attached file....
