The deal removes a defendant, and a tranche of potentially damaging evidence, from a case that will serve as a proving ground for design-based product liability claims against Big Tech firms that have been accused of deliberately engineering their platforms to be addictive.One defendant will be notably absent next month when social media platforms go on trial over allegations that their intentionally addictive designs fueled a youth mental health crisis....
