US DOJ asks court for continued abeyance in TikTok suit against CFIUS

( January 20, 2026, 23:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice asked a federal appeals court to continue holding TikTok's lawsuit against the US Committee on Foreign Investments in the US (CFIUS) in abeyance for another 60 days. The next status report would be due on March 23. The agency said that CFIUS and the investor parties "are working towards entering into the contemplated agreement" as previously outlined by US President Donald Trump.See attached file....
