UK govt to set protocol to respond to data breaches under agreement with ICO

The memorandum of understanding follows scrutiny of public-sector data handling after the defence ministry’s large leak of data on Afghan citizens, and includes commitments on annual assurance reporting and greater transparency by the Information Commissioner’s Office.The UK government and the Information Commissioner’s Office have committed to working together to improve data security within government departments under a new agreement signed Thursday....
