China opens cross-border certification access through three approved entities

( December 31, 2025, 03:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Personal information handlers in China can now apply for cross-border certification through three professional certification entities, after the Cyberspace Administration of China, or CAC, and the National Data Bureau completed filing reviews under the Personal Information Cross-Border Certification Measures, the CAC announced Tuesday. The three government-affiliated entities are the China Cybersecurity Review, Certification and Market Regulation Big Data Center, which is affiliated with the market regulator; CAC’s Data and Technology Assurance Center; and a certification company under the China Electronic Standardization Institute.
