Telecom provider Procono pays €180,000 GDPR fine in Spain

( December 16, 2025, 11:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Spanish company Procono, which is related to internet and TV provider PTV Telecom, has paid a €180,000 fine for violating the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, the national data watchdog said on Tuesday. The company failed to ensure to sufficiently protect the data of more than 100,000 PTV Telecom customers in a data breach, the AEPD said. The fine was initially set at €240,000, but was reduced by 25 percent when the company acknowledged liability and made a voluntary payment.Decision attached (in Spanish). ...
