Game developer Jam City agrees to $1.4 million Calif. privacy settlement

( November 21, 2025, 22:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Jam City, a company that creates games based on popular shows including Frozen and Harry Potter, will pay $1.4 million to resolve alleged violations of the California Consumer Privacy Act, Attorney General Rob Bonta announced. Jam City allegedly failed to offer consumers methods to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information in its apps. Jam City must provide in-app methods for consumers to opt out of the sale or sharing of their data and must not sell or share the personal information of consumers between the age of 13 and 16 without their affirmative consent.Statement follows.
