Ban use of children’s data for online advertising, German data watchdogs say

This rule is already in place under the EU’s Digital Services Act and the law on political ads, however, focusing mainly on online platforms. The remarks come a day after the European Commission has presented its plan to reform the GDPR. Advertising based on the personality or user profiles of children should be prohibited under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, the German data protection watchdogs said in a statement published on Thursday (see here)....
