China issues draft antitrust compliance guide for internet platforms

( November 17, 2025, 02:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s market regulator released draft guidelines Saturday aimed at helping online-platform operators identify and manage antitrust risks more effectively. The antimonopoly compliance guidelines for platforms highlight eight types of emerging risks, including algorithmic collusion, organizing in-platform operators to reach monopolistic agreements, unfairly high prices, below-cost sales, blocking and delisting, “choose one of two” practices, “lowest price on the internet” clauses, and discriminatory treatment. The State Administration for Market Regulation said the draft incorporates feedback from industry, regulators and academics.
