Reassign data-violation claims against Meta, German association BGL recommends

( August 27, 2025, 12:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta users in Germany can assign their data protection-violation claim against it to the initiative Privacy ReClaim, according to logistics association BGL — Bundesverband Güterkraftverkehr Logistik und Entsorgung. BGL said in a statement that Meta is breaching the GDPR by unlawfully processing data on Instagram and Facebook, and that consumers can allocate their compensation claim to BGL's cooperation partner in exchange for an immediate 50-euro payment.
